StarLight Applications

The StarLight has a broad function light source, which gives powerful pulses of light. This light is passed through various filters, to target specific skin conditions.

A Blue Light Filter enhances the amount of blue light delivered by the StarLight Hand piece to the face. This helps to significantly kill the P.Acnes bacteria, leading to a reduction in Acne.

A Green Light Filter selectively heats up pigmented lesions, and also stimulates collagen growth in the dermis. This leads to clearing of pigmented lesions, such as age spots, freckles, and general discromia. Age Spots, sun exposure and wrinkles damage skin, giving the face an aged look. The StarLight Skin Rejuvenation Filter reduces the effect of age from the face, giving it a healthier, fresher and younger appearance. The light/heat combination is precisely calibrated by the software, and collagen stimulation just under the external skin layer is promoted, which leads to younger, more elastic skin. The same filter also has the effect of reducing pore size, treating stretch marks, and improving micro-circulation. StarLight features an infra-red filter for the hair removal function. Infra-red light selectively damages the hair follicles and the bulge around the hair follicles, leading to permanent hair reduction. The infra-red filter in the StarLight allows treatment even for dark Indian skin to be accomplished safely. The StarLight 100 has special software programs for each of the above applications. Each of the software programs intelligently calibrates the application of light, based on the correct choice of filter, pulse duration of the light, and the pulse energy. Single pulses or multiple pulses may be delivered, along with adjustable delays between pulses. This makes the StarLight 100 one of the most advanced and intelligent devices in the market. The powerful StarLight is capable of delivering as much as 50 J/cm2 to the skin. A Special sapphire cooling crystals help to protect the skin from such high energy doses. Thus, maximum effectiveness is combined with maximum safety.

	Laser Lipolysis with the StarLas100

	In certain areas of the body, as for instance the eyelids, or the underchin neck and jowl, there is a need not only to remove the excess adipose tissue, as well as to tighten the skin. Laser Lipolysis involves the flattening of small unwanted areas of excess fat, along with tissue tightening due to the collagen stimulating effects of laser light. A special lipoaspiration cannula, with a 200 micron or 400 micron laser fiber inserted through it is used during the procedure. It is inserted subcutaneously in the area where fat removal is required, and moved back and forth, with simultaneous firing of powerful, but short, laser pulses, and aspiration.
